Your journey begins at Badung Market, the largest traditional market in Denpasar. In the evening, the market takes on a unique atmosphere as food vendors prepare fresh local delicacies. Walk through the stalls, observe daily trade activities, and enjoy selected tastings that introduce you to the flavors of Balinese street food.


Continue to Kumbasari Art Market, known for its local crafts and informal food stalls. Here, you will have the opportunity to see handmade items and interact with vendors while learning about the role of traditional markets in Balinese community life.


The walk proceeds to a nearby local food market, where you can sample additional dishes and drinks. You may encounter local favorites such as klepon, satay, pepes ikan, traditional Balinese snack, and refreshing young coconut. Your guide will explain the ingredients, cooking methods, and cultural meaning behind each item, offering deeper insight into Balinese culinary traditions.


As the evening unfolds, you will explore Denpasar’s historic center. Stop at the iconic Catur Muka Statue, a key city landmark symbolizing balance and harmony, before continuing to Puputan Badung Square, a site that reflects Bali’s resistance era. The tour concludes at Jagatnata Temple, beautifully illuminated at night. You may find locals selling canang offerings nearby. You may have the opportunity to prepare a canang offering and respectfully present it at the temple as part of a local religious practice. Any donation is entirely voluntary and can be given personally at the temple in accordance with Balinese custom and temple etiquette.

Pick-up is available from the most centrally located hotels in Kuta, Legian, Tuban, Sanur, Jimbaran, Tanjung Benoa, and Nusa Dua areas. For other areas with additional charges. Pick-up from other areas is not recommended.
